Les Deux AlpesPistes:220kms | Resort:1650m | Top Point:3600m | View Piste Map Les Deux Alpes is a large town based at 1650m and provides skiing all year round on the Mantel Glacier which is the highest and largest skiable glacier in Europe based at 3600m. During the main season the resort is hugely popular with the younger end of the market who takes advantage of its lively nightlife. With 200km of piste local to the resort there is enough to go at for a weeks holiday. As the resort is a little lower and further south than those in the Tarentaise Valley, skiing into the village in early and late season can be a little difficult. The resort is well know for having the best conditioned snow park in France, although other resorts are now starting to catch up. The lift pass includes free access to the off piste haven which is La Grave, which can be accessed via the top of the glacier. We offer a range of 2 and 3 star apartments throughout the village, unlike our other resorts the actual village is relatively large and dependant on where you stay it can be a 20min walk to the lift or you can wait for the resort bus which is not hugely reliable. We do offer some apartments which are ski to and from the door but these are located a little further away from the village facilities. Nearest airports:
Accommodation:Odalys Residence du Soleil: This elegant wooden residence looks out over the resort and also offers a magnificent view of the Ecrins mountain range. It is situated 800 m away from the main shops and facilities. All apartments have a kitchenette (oven, dishwasher), bathroom, generally separate toilet, television (with supplement) and balcony.A free outdoor car park (with limited number of places) and indoor fee-paying car park are at your disposal. The infrastructure of the neighborhood is made up of a network of covered free public parking lots that lead to small buildings settled on one side and to the village streets reserved for pedestrians. Arcades plaza, Grande Place, and Ecrins plaza that is filled with shops (bars, restaurants, bakeries, mini-marts, and sports stores) and the Activities Center dedicated to recreation (Club Forme 1800 with pool, bowling, and squash… Night clubs, game hall, and different businesses) are the highlights of the neighborhood. It's like one big club with all of the equipment and services you need, but allowing you the liberty to take advantage of whatever you like. All the apartments have a kitchen area fully equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator (oven or grill in most of them). Maeva Muzelle: Located at the entrance of an invigorating, sunny resort at the foot of the largest glacier in Europe the residence is near the ski lifts and offers accommodation in apartments sleeping 4 and 6 people. We will confirm availability, set up an online holiday for you and email you a unique holiday code. Each person in your party can then log into our site using your unique code, choose their required options and pay for the their holiday. When you make a reservation you will be given a minimum number of passengers. To confirm the booking you will need your minimum number if passengers to have paid a £90 deposit within 7 days of making the reservation. The full balance of all holidays will be due 8 weeks prior to departure unless you book within 8 weeks of departure when the full balance will be due 7 days from booking. |
