New ski and snowboard instructor courses!

17th January 2012

If you have enjoyed the snow this winter and want more of the action, why not enrol in a ski instructor course with our friends at International Academy?

They’re offering summer courses in New Zealand or the brand new 6 week Autumn course in Austria.

10 WEEK SUMMER COURSES: WANAKA / CARDRONA, NEW ZEALAND

If you’re trying to decide what to do with your summer, the New Zealand ski instructor course is an ideal way to experience the amazing country, improve your ski or boarding skills and qualify as an NZSIA/SBINZ instructor.

You can experience some of the best skiing and snowboarding that New Zealand has to offer under the guidance of some of the best trainers.  You’ll be staying in the beautiful and super-cool town of Wanaka surrounded by magnificent scenery – it’s an experience you will  never forget.

Call 029 2066 0200 for further details or visit the International Academy website.

NEW 6 WEEK AUTUMN COURSES: ZELL AM SEE / KAPRUN, AUSTRIA

This Autumn programme is brand new from International Academy and offers 6 weeks on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at Kaprun in October and November.  The course is open to skiers who can do at least parallel turns on inermediate terrain, and snowboarders.   This high end training programme is run in partnership with Ski Dome Oberscheider, Kaprun’s largest ski school and will lead you to the official Austrian qualification of "Skilehrer Anwärter", which enables you to teach in Austrian Ski Schools and all around the world.

One of the main benefits of this course is that you will be certified and ready to work from the beginning of the ski season. In fact the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier allows you to ski for 10 months of the year so there’s plenty of opportunity to ski almost all year round. The glacier is surrounded by the highest peaks in Austria and it offers fantastic powder, varied runs, challenging terrain and stunning views. There’s even a huge snow park with over 70 obstacles and a super pipe!

There’s no need to worry if you don’t speak German as a basic German course is included in the programme and all trainers are fluent in English.

Accommodation is at the comfortable Pension Mullauer based in Schuttdorf which is an outlying part of Zell am See, about 25 minutes’ walk from the centre of the resort.

For more information call 029 2066 0200 or visit the International Academy website.
