Arguably the world's premier ski destination, Val d'Isère is an attractive and lively resort set at the heart of the vast Espace Killy ski area offering some of the best skiing and après ski in the whole of Europe. In fact the resort has pretty much everything!

Its high altitude (the village sits at 1800m and highest lift takes you to 3466m) offers a micro-climate giving it one of the best snow records in the Alps, pretty much guaranteeing great snow at any time of the season. In fact from the village you can get up to 2500m in just one lift and with an Espace Killy pass you can stay above this height for the majority of your day.

The Espace Killy Ski area includes Le Fornet, Val d'Isère and Tignes, altogether boasting over 300kms of pistes, 2 snow parks and 2 glaciers. It’s great for all levels of skiers: with couloirs, black runs and great mogul fields for the experts, intermediates are spoilt for choice with long sweepy blues and reds and there are also a few good nursery slopes if you’re just beginning. Val d'Isère can also keep all standards of boarders entertained with some of the best kept parks in the Alps, not to mention incredible off-piste possibilities. It’s worth mentioning though that the official grading system tends to be a little on the modest side in Val d’Isère, and slopes are often harder than they are marked – so for blue read red, etc.

Covering all the bases, Val also offers fantastic après ski, with loads of bars, restaurants and clubs to keep you entertained well into the evening. It’s also one of the resorts that fall under France’s strict laws for development in the village, so on top of all that it’s also alpine and picturesque.

Val is situated round one main high street based between two satellite villages, Le Fornet and La Daille, which are all connected by a free bus services which runs throughout the day and night. We offer 4 star chalet style apartments with doorstep skiing or 3 star apartments in the centre of the village.
