Arguably the world's premier ski destination, Val d'Isère is an attractive and lively resort set at the heart of the vast Espace Killy ski area offering some of the best skiing and après ski in the whole of Europe. In fact the resort has pretty much everything!

Its high altitude (the village sits at 1800m and highest lift takes you to 3466m) offers a micro-climate giving it one of the best snow records in the Alps, pretty much guaranteeing great snow at any time of the season. In fact from the village you can get up to 2500m in just one lift and with an Espace Killy pass you can stay above this height for the majority of your day.

The Espace Killy Ski area includes Le Fornet, Val d'Isère and Tignes, altogether boasting over 300kms of pistes, 2 snow parks and 2 glaciers. It’s great for all levels of skiers: with couloirs, black runs and great mogul fields for the experts, intermediates are spoilt for choice with long sweepy blues and reds and there are also a few good nursery slopes if you’re just beginning. Val d'Isère can also keep all standards of boarders entertained with some of the best kept parks in the Alps, not to mention incredible off-piste possibilities. It’s worth mentioning though that the official grading system tends to be a little on the modest side in Val d’Isère, and slopes are often harder than they are marked – so for blue read red, etc.

Covering all the bases, Val also offers fantastic après ski, playing host to the orginal 'La Folie Douce' après venue high above La Daille and with loads of bars, restaurants and clubs in town to keep you entertained well into the evening. It’s also one of the resorts that fall under France’s strict laws for development in the village, so on top of all that it’s also alpine and picturesque.

We can offer a good range in quality and location of accommodation in Val d’Isère. Val is situated round one main high street based between two satellite villages, Le Fornet and La Daille, which are all connected by a free bus services which runs throughout the day and night. We offer 4 star chalet style apartments with doorstep skiing or 3 star apartments in the centre of the village.

Restaurants, Bars & Clubs

Café Face might be small inside but it's a big name in Val D'Isere. Famous for it's unique après ski tariff - drinks will cost you under 3 Euros early doors, but the price goes up by 25 cents every 15 minutes. So get there early!

The latest après venue to hit the slopes in Val D’Isere (literally, it is on the slope front in town) and they definitely know what they are doing! Live bands, free flowing pints and a cosy venue, there is nothing not to love.

Dick's Tea Bar is famous all over the Alps!  Offering spirits by the bottle, your wallet (and head) will certainly know about it the next day!

This is the exclusive nightclub in Val d'Isere situated right under the piste. It can be pretty expensive but has just started doing après ski on their terrace too. Worth a visit.

The owners have lived and worked in Val d'Isère for the last 13 seasons, they have skied all over the mountain, and partied all over town.

One of the most famous on-the-mountain après ski spots in Europe. With great live bands and a fantastic atmosphere. La Folie Douce is French for “soft party”, referring to the fact that it starts at 4 and ends by 6pm.

French nightclub, cheap drinks and a good French atmosphere. They have a takeaway restaurant inside with amazing burgers! When in Rome...

This Scandinavian bar is always pretty busy in the evening.  Nice restaurant (really good English breakfasts) and pool tables too.

Great atmosphere with live bands and pool tables. All ages love this place, especially their amazing burgers.

Awesome sports bar. It’s English-run, has sky sports on a million screens as well as pool tables, plenty of cider and beer pong is allowed / encouraged!

If you have visited their sister bars in Tignes and Val Thorens you will know what to expect here. Big happy hours at après, live music, pitchers of long island ice tea and their infamous triangle shots all play a part in this venue.
